In this painting on canvas I have painted a scene in which we see the third innermost mummy case of King Tutankhamun in the foreground. This was the coffin that was made of solid gold, and was the one that contained the kings mummy. In the background you see some of the wall decoration in the burial chamber, depicting Aye, Tut’s successor, performing the opening of the mouth ceremony.
